This encyclopaedic edition reflects evolution of the arms made in Izhevsk during the course of 200 years on the basis of the description of samples of the arms and biographies of designers and gunsmiths.
The information presented in the book is based on collections of the Museum of "Izhmash" Arms Factory.
There are considerable number of designs published for the first time.
The author of introductory clause is Michael Dragunov, the son of the known gunsmith, inventor of SVD sniper rifle.
