Today, March 13, the delegation of the Republic of Udmurtia, headed by President Alexander Volkov, will participate in the world's premier real estate summit, MIPIM-2007, which will be held from 13 to 16 March in the city of Cannes, France.
According to the press service of the President and the government of Udmurt Republic, the exhibition of commercial real estate will be greeted with several investment projects of Udmurtia, namely, residential complexes and business centres in Izhevsk, and hotel and business center "Kalashnikov" to be built in the form of AK-47 submachine gun, which, as suggested by Peterburg architects, can be built on artificial island in the Izhevsk pond.
It was previously reported that three projects were planned for presentation in Cannes: renovation of Izhevsk pond quay, the hotel in the form of a Kalashnikov AK-47 and a bridge across the river Kama. Prior to his departure to France, President of Udmurtia noted that the Republic is interested in developing closer ties with the world's largest investors, and the draft of Kalashnikov Hotel and Business Center, which already went from a bold idea to the implementation, should become one of the symbols of the capital of Russian gunsmiths, the city of Izhesvk.
